when does nissan start to get engine/transmission problems?

im looking to get a car, i see a good deal on a 2000 nissan altima with 100,000 miles, i heard that nissan makes good cars, i was wondering at what millage does the engine or transmission or any expensive fix start to happen. I heard that cars like honda

I drove a '98 Altima (same basic body style and engine as the 2000) until about a year ago when I crashed and totaled it, at 214,000 miles. Never had any problems with the engine or transmission. The only things I ever had to fix, aside from routine
