Will switching from standard halogen to LED headlights reduce engine strain?

im looking for ways to reduce workload on an engine for added mpg.leds use something like 7% the energy of a standard bulb...could this switch ease engine and battery load?

Only theoretically, no for all practical purposes.
To improve mpg, do something much cheaper and simpler: always keep your tires slightly overinflated, remove trunk junk, adopt energy-efficient driving techniques, maintain the car in overall good
